Gary Midkiff

Gary D. Midkiff — gary@midkiffandassoc.com

Principal Planner — Gary graduated from the University of Georgia with a major in Forest management and a minor in recreational planning. Gary has over 30 years in planning, permitting, and public/private administration, including 7 years at TRPA (5 years as Assistant Director and 2 years as Acting Director), and over 22 years as a private consultant providing permitting assistance and project facilitation at Lake Tahoe. Gary has extensive experience and contacts throughout the Tahoe Basin, including permitting many projects (public and private) through the TRPA, NV and CA State Lands, NTRPA, and US Army Corps of Engineers. Gary started Midkiff & Associates, Inc. in 1990.

   

Nick D. Exline — nick@midkiffandassoc.com

Senior Planner — Nick received his Bachelor of Sciences degrees from the University of Nevada in Biology and Geography in 2003. Following graduation from the University of Nevada he moved to Monterey, California and began working with Land Watch Monterey and Watt and Associates. While working toward a master's degree with an emphasis on economics, he spent two and a half years as a planner for Washoe County, Nevada. He worked extensively on planning issues in Incline Village, Lake Tahoe including: affordable housing, creation of general improvement districts, single family additions/modifications, and contributed to Incline Village Area Plans. In May, 2008 he received a master's degree in Land Use Planning from the University of Nevada. Nick joined Midkiff & Associates Inc. in 2008.

   

Kevin Hill — kevin@midkiffandassoc.com

Associate Planner — Kevin received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Reno in Hydrology-Watershed Management in 1987.  Following graduation he went to work at TRPA as a Senior Water Quality Planner.  He spent 14 years in the Long Range Planning Division.  During this time he directed the development and implementation of the Science Policy, Research and Monitoring component of the agency, assisted with the development of the Environmental Improvement Program (EIP) and many other duties including strategic and long range planning approach to project planning and implementation.  Kevin has a broad background of work experience including 8 years at the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as a Bond Program Administrator, 5 years in the Governor’s office as Energy Efficiency Program Manager.  In addition he has served as Conservation Director with the Nevada Land Trust.  He joined Midkiff & Associates, Inc. in the spring of 2017.

   
Pam Jimenez

Melissa Bickenbach — melissa@midkiffandassoc.com

Associate Planner II — Melissa received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University in 2007.  Following graduation she worked as a Planner at Latitude 33 Planning and Engineering in San Diego, California for 3 years.  While there she researched and interpreted city and community plans, land use development code, collected field data and assisted in overall project management and much more.  Melissa also brings her knowledge of construction project management to our firm, including change orders, working with subcontractors, bids, etc.  She joined Midkiff & Associates, Inc. in 2013.

   
Pam Jimenez

Pam Jimenez — pam@midkiffandassoc.com

Office Manager/Accounting Manager — Pam graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Business Administration.  She is responsible for the office management and accounting systems.  She has had her own accounting business for over 25 years, specializing in construction and non-profits.  In addition, she brings 10 years of marketing and advertising experience.  She has served in many community organizations in a financial capacity as well as helping others.  She joined Midkiff & Associates, Inc. in 1993.
